Geophysical Division ceremonially celebrated the 40th Anniversary of Foundation (10. 1967 - 10. 2007) on October 05th 2007, in Ha Dong City, Ha Tay Province
Mr Do Hai Dung – Deputy Minister of Resources and Environment (MONRE), Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van – Deputy Director General of Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam (DGMV), Mr. Hoang Vinh Thinh – Chairman of DGMV Trade Union, and representatives of divisions of MONRE and DGMV attended the anniversary. Participating the anniversary, there were also formers directors, leaders of Geophysical Division, retired people, guests from other branches and the whole personnel of the Division.
On summary remark, Mr Nguyen Tran Tan – Director General of Geophysical Division claimed “During the 40 years of establishment and development, the investigation activities have been varied and diversified. Despite of facing a lot of difficulties, Geophysical Division has played an important role in geological and mineral investigation, considerably contributing to the 60 years of development of Geosciences in Vietnam in particular and of the country in general. Geophysical Division and its excellent individuals have been awarded noble national prizes for their achievements
At the anniversary, Mr. Nguyen Hai Dung – Deputy Minister of Resources and Environment made a speech to appraise the contribution and achievement which Geophysical Division and its member have made during the 40 years time. He also made careful recommendations of coming challenges that Geophysical Division should realize and overcome.
